APT nuevo VS AFCAD / new APT vs converted AFCAD

Many people mailed me answering about if it's not easier for this project (and others) to use the AFCAD files of FS and convert them to APT and voilá! we finish our work in a few hours, not in days.

The only possible answer is: NO!!!

In this picture you can see an AFCAD of Albacete (LEAB) airport once converted to X-plane format. There's also an aerial image of the real LEAB airport centered, aligned and corrected. As you all can see the only thing in the same place is the runway and that's because we aligned it for a better contrast!( we still need to look at the coordinates, maybe the runway is in a wrong position). You can see as no taxiway or apron is aligned by so many meters. This is due to the program some FS afcad developers use, named AFCAD (hard name to remember xD). This program don´t allow you to ADD IMAGES AS BACKGROUND, so you can't be sure WHERE you put a taxiway, apron, whatever.

With all this, when someone asks me about using these files, my only answers is: NO, but look it for yourself and test the coordinates, maybe it's your lucky day and you have a good AFCAD...
